Description:
Cast Iron Welding Electrodes AWS ENiFe-C1 is a kind of cast iron electrode with Ni-Fe alloy core wire and strong reducibility graphite type coating. It has some characteristics like high strength, good plasticity, low coefficient of linear expansion, etc. The crack-resistance for gray cast iron is similar with that of ENi-C1, but the crack-resistance for spheroidal graphite cast iron is higher than that of ENi-C1. It is also effective for cast iron with high phosphorus content (0.2%P). The machinability is a little worse than that of ENi-C1. Used for welding gray cast iron and spheroidal graphite cast iron under normal temperature or preheated a little (to about 200ºC). AC/DC.
Applications
It is used for repairing welding important and high toughness parts made of cast iron and modular iron, such as cylinder head, motor stand, gear wheel, etc.
Attention:
a. Welding electrodes must be baked for 1 hour at the temperature of 150ºC before welding.
b. Small current is the best to be adopted.
Notes:
1.The defects of less rigidity parts in small thin-wall cast iron pieces can be welded without preheating,but general weldments needs to be preheated up to around 400ºC.If the weldments preserve heat and slowly cool down,they are on the soldering joints can bear cut processing.
