Product Description

Sugarhard is our basic coated high efficiency (205%) electrode for roughening the wet mill rollers used in the sugar cane crushing process. Striking the arc with Sugarhard is very easy and the welding characteristics are superb in the environment to which the electrodes are exposed. The welding is done with a striking arc roughening the roller surface during processing with wear-resistant chromium carbide globules; hardness of pure deposit weld metal is 63 HRc.

A heavily coated rutile electrode that produces a near eutectic mix of chromium carbides and austenite, with limited primary carbides weld deposit 170% recovery. Designed for operator appeal and weld quality having excellent arc characteristics, good restriking, complete slag coverage and low spatter levels. The electrode coating permits the use of a light drag or contact welding technique.

Electrode  hard solder, high-alloy, with a thick coating and a productivity of 160%. High-hardened weld metal possesses high resistance to mineral wear and corrosion. Does not create a risk against wear of cracks, which appear along the width of the seam, but increases the sensitivity to work during shocks. The weld metal can only be processed by grinding.
