Description
An all position Medium heavy coated, graphite based cast iron electrodes. It deposits Nickel and Iron alloy weld metal, which is ductile and machineable, joining various types of cast Iron including nodular cast iron.

The cast iron welding rod is used for joining for non-ferrous and ferrous material, Heavy castings where machinability is required, Repair of broken castings, Engine heads, Pumps casing, ingot moulds.

Z508 products are Nickel copper alloy (Monel) core wire, strong reducibleness graphite mold solder coating weld rods. Their processing property and machinability are approximate to
Z308. Owing to the more contractibility rate, less crack resistance, and lower strength of soldering points, these products are not suitable for soldering the bearing power positions but can be used for welding ferrosteel pieces on ordinary temperature or low temperature preheating (about 300°C) conditions. The weld rods can use either alternating current or direct current, have a stable arc, and conveniently operate.
Application:
For use in soldering ferrosteel pieces that require less high strength.
Notes:
1. The weld rods should be baked at about 150°C for an hour before the start of the welding operation.
2. When the welding operation carries on, the welding rod moving tracks take narrow routes as a suitable line. The length of every welded seam should not be over 50mm. After the soldering hammer blow the weld seam with a small hammer immediately so as to eliminate the stress in the soldering area and then avoid assurance of cracks.
