Description:

Cast Iron Welding Electrode is a graphitic type coating cast iron electrode with carbon steel core. Both AC and DC can be applied in welding. Weld seam metal has excellent crack resistibility. And its price is cheaper.

Applications

It is used for repairing welding important and high toughness parts made of cast iron and modular iron, such as cylinder head, motor stand, gear wheel, etc.

Attention:

a. Welding electrodes must be baked for 1 hour at the temperature of 150ºC before welding.

b. Small current is the best to be adopted.
 

Notes:
1.The defects of less rigidity parts in small thin-wall cast iron pieces can be welded without preheating,but general weldments needs to be preheated up to around 400ºC.If the weldments preserve heat and slowly cool down,they are on the soldering joints can bear cut processing.

2.These welding rods are not suitable for the important castings that bear the stress and impact,etc.
3.The welding rods should be baked at around 150ºC for an hour before the start of welding operation.

The Easy Arc Cast Iron Welding Electrode / Welding Stick is a kind of cast rion welding electrode. The solder is a nickel-copper alloy cored (Monel), strong reducible type graphite coated cast iron electrode.
The solder's processing performance and machining performance is close to Z308. The welding electrode is not suitable for welding stress areas due to its high contractibility rate, lower strength of welding joint, less crack resistance, but can weld grey cast iron at normal temperature and low-temperature perheating (at 300°C or so). The welding rod works on DC/AC with stable arc and handy usage.
